FINE ART COLLAGE BY
ASHLEY ELIZABETH LAMM ~
A VISION OF REPURPOSING
At the heart of our creative process lies the art of collage, crafted by our creative partner, Ashley Elizabeth Lamm.
Each piece is composed of imagery salvaged from discarded print media ~ rescued from book flea markets, second-hand shops and recycling centers. By repurposing these forgotten pages, we breathe new life into lost narratives.

To us, books are more than vessels of information; they are cultural artifacts, preserving history and vision. With digitalization accelerating, over 320 million books are discarded annually. Our mission is to rescue a fraction of these, transforming them into a kaleidoscopic archive of our collective zeitgeist.

Merging sustainability, artistry and craftsmanship, we redefine fashion as a space where past and future converge ~ preserving stories, reshaping narratives and offering an alternative to disposable culture.
"We Begin Where Others Have Already Finished"
Each collage is entirely unique and meticulously assembled through:

-
Locally sourced, hand-cut and archived imagery, reconstructed into new compositions.
-
Off-cuts repurposed for frayed, graphic elements, creating hypnotic contrast.
-
Blank pages and scraps recycled into handmade paper for our branding, crafted in our atelier through a traditional pulp and drying process.

Within Ashley Elizabeth's work, accumulations of paper cuttings deconstruct social hierarchies by creating female goddesses and warriors that unsettle and alter the definition of the historical male hero.

Collage as a form of transplantation from one papery surface to the next is her way of forming a demand for a more diverse and intense representation of female voices and stories.

MATERIALS REIMAGINED ~
HONOURING THE PAST,
DESIGNING FOR THE FUTURE
We deeply respect our environment and acknowledge the responsibility we carry in producing our collections and fine art collages.
Sustainability is at the core of our design philosophy, guiding every material choice and process.
Our approach prioritizes transparency, ethical sourcing, and waste reduction, merging traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies.
Below, we outline the key materials we use and the methods we employ to minimize waste while creating designs that aim to embody a force for positive change:

Our designs incorporate biodegradable and upcycled materials, including 100% Dupion silk from Northern Italy, silk tulle and dead-stock silks from the 1980s and 1990s, making some pieces truly one-of-a-kind. While these archival fabrics are not fully traceable due to their age, we ensure transparency in all other materials.

-
Our collages are primarily digitally printed onto silk satin in Eindhoven and London, using eco-conscious printing methods that eliminate harmful chemicals and significantly reduce water consumption.

-
To further optimize fabric use, we have developed a digital pattern placement system, drastically reducing offcuts, which are repurposed into shoes, headpieces, jewelry, and gloves.

-
We integrate cutting-edge technology such as laser cut, which enhances precision and further reduces waste. However, while we embrace digital tools for efficiency and sustainability, every aspect of our creative process - from collage-making to garment construction - is entirely crafted by hand, without the use of artificial intelligence. This ensures that each piece maintains its artisanal integrity and individuality.

-
We are committed to upcycing and using existing materials rather than producing new ones whenever possible. This includes fabric donations from closed stores and gifted polyester thread, which we use responsibly for toile pieces - since these are not washed, they do not release microplastics into groundwater.

-
For garments that touch the skin, we use 100% Lyocell thread for its comfort and biodegradability.

-
Embellishments feature Swarovski crystals, natural mother-of-pearl, abalone, and glass rocaille beads, while embroidery is crafted with 100% cotton or recycled nylon thread.

By merging contemporary fine art and heritage craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, we redefine responsible luxury, proving that high fashion can be both exquisite and ethical.

INSIDE OUR ATELIER ~
WHERE CRAFT MEETS INTENTION
Nestled in the serene outskirts of Munich, our atelier is surrounded by nature - butterflies, singing birds, and grazing sheep serve as daily reminders of the beauty we strive to preserve.
This setting allows us to embrace slow fashion with intention, ensuring that every piece we create is deeply connected to the natural world.

Within our atelier, every step of the process happens under one roof - from the first sketch and collage-making to the meticulous construction of each garment.
We oversee every detail, ensuring unparalleled craftsmanship and ethical production. While we entrust select processes to our trusted partners in Eindhoven, London and Northern Italy, all other work is done entirely by our small team in Munich, Germany.
Our approach values time, precision, and artistry.
Each piece is handmade, often taking months to complete, with some designs requiring up to 2,200 hours of work and incorporating more than 10,000 individual elements.
We create fashion made to last, designed to be treasured rather than discarded.

To honour this philosophy, we offer a lifelong restoration service, ensuring that our garments can be passed down through generations. Should a piece show signs of wear and tear, we have developed a unique repair system - by integrating precise pattern construction from the very beginning, we can seamlessly replace delicate elements like tulle without compromising the integrity of the design.
We design with the future in mind, anticipating potential damage and embedding solutions directly into the creative process.

By combining heritage craftsmanship with forward-thinking innovation, we redefine luxury as something not only beautiful but enduring - pieces to be worn, cherished, and preserved for years to come.

INCLUSIVITY AND
REPRESENTATION ~
A CELEBRATION OF
HERITAGE AND DIVERSITY
To honour Chelsea and Ashley's South African and German roots, we follow a design philosophy that intertwines both cultural influences in every collection.
All garments and collages are created in our atelier in Munich, while our campaigns and image films are brought to life with a fully South African team in the stunning landscapes of the Western Cape. This collaboration embodies the deep connection between South Africa's expansive, majestic beauty and the creativity of our South African partners, highlighting the talent and narratives that inspire and shape our designs.

We embrace a philosophy of inclusivity, welcoming all genders, ethnicities, nationalities and body types. Our designs are created with diversity in mind, ensuring that every individual feels seen, valued and represented. By offering custom designs, we celebrate the uniqueness of each body, tailoring our creations to fit and empower the wearer.
This commitment to personal expression is at the heart of our process, reinforcing the idea that fashion should be a celebration of identity,
not conformity.
Every garment we create tells a story - a narrative that transcends fabric and thread.
To us, the wearer and the garment become a symphony of storytelling, where every stitch reflects a shared vision of unity and boundless creativity.
Our designs are a true representation of visual optimism, embodying a deep hope for a future where diverse stories and collaborative creativity lead the way.

We firmly believe that when creatives come together as one, bound by shared values and a passion for change, something truly magical happens - a collective force that shapes a more inclusive, inspiring and harmonious world.
This is the essence of our philosophy, and it is woven into every piece we create.
