“Pirouette in Bloom” is an artistic collaboration exploring the relationship between sculptural garment, movement and the human body.
Created in Munich in 2025, the project features ballet dancer Robyn Hodges embodying two works by Chelsea Jean Lamm: “Apus” (2022) and “Victima” (2025).
Inspired by the iridescent wings of the bird of paradise, “Apus” transforms silk into a sculptural expression of movement and transformation. Composed of thousands of individually hand-draped elements, each carefully sewn by hand, the work reflects Chelsea Jean Lamm’s commitment to craftsmanship, material memory and the creation of wearable artworks that exist between fashion, sculpture and performance.
Through the collaboration with Robyn Hodges, the garments become activated through movement, revealing their relationship with the body, gravity and space.
Captured by Yolanda x Alex, the photographic series explores the intersection of dance, contemporary art and Cultural Couture, where the wearer becomes an integral part of the artwork itself.

Developed through a shared connection to landscape, storytelling and contemporary African creativity, the collaboration allowed Jacques Weyers complete creative freedom to interpret Chelsea Jean Lamm’s garments through his own artistic perspective.
Set against the textures and atmosphere of the South African coastline, the resulting imagery explores the relationship between body, environment, movement and imagination.
The collaboration continues Chelsea Jean Lamm’s exploration of wearable art as a medium that exists beyond fashion, becoming part of a wider visual narrative shaped by place, memory and cultural exchange.
The garments ~ created through Chelsea Jean Lamm’s collaboration with collage artist Ashley Elizabeth Lamm ~ enter a new dialogue with Jacques Weyers’ photographic practice, which reflects the landscapes, identities and creative spirit of the African continent.
Featuring model Nomvelo Mabaso, with hair and make-up by Sam Scarborough, the project celebrates the power of artistic collaboration and the emergence of new visual languages through shared trust, intuition and creative freedom.

Rather than functioning as a traditional fashion campaign, the project explores the dialogue between contemporary fashion, fine art, handcrafted objects and photography. Through the combination of sculptural garment design, analogue collage, jewellery craftsmanship and visual storytelling, the collaboration creates an immersive artistic narrative that exists between wearable sculpture and contemporary image-making.
The garment “Serpens” by Chelsea Jean Lamm becomes the central sculptural element along side Carina Shoshtary's handprinted 3D face mask within this interdisciplinary exchange, embodying the designer’s ongoing exploration of transformation, mythology and the relationship between the human body and artistic expression.
In collaboration with Ashley Elizabeth Lamm, whose analogue collage practice transforms discarded printed materials into intricate visual compositions, and Carina Shoshtary, whose handcrafted jewellery works introduce elements of symbolism and sculptural adornment, the project demonstrates how different artistic disciplines can converge to create a shared visual language.
Captured through the lens of Nina Zimolong, the collaboration presents fashion as a medium for storytelling, artistic exploration and emotional communication.
